Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Coverage
Every CPO vehicle comes with a Model-Specific Limited Warranty because we want you to feel confident with your vehicle. The warranty period begins when the original factory warranty expires or on the sale date of the CPO vehicle, whichever occurs later. The VW CPO warranty by your vehicle year are as follows:
2017 and older models receive a comprehensive limited warranty¹،² for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.
2018 and 2019 models receive a comprehensive limited warranty¹ for 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
2020 models receive a comprehensive limited warranty¹ for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first.

What Does VW Certified Pre-owned Warranty Cover?
Your Volkswagen will still have the same new car bumper-to-bumper warranty. This covers things like suspension, axles, electronics, hubs, engines, transmissions, seals, transfer cases, HVAC, fueling, cooling, and more. Regular car maintenance is the owner’s responsibility.
When Does VW CPO Warranty Start?
Your VW CPO warranty starts after the original new car warranty expires. The duration depends on your vehicle’s model year; 2018 & 2019 models have a 12-month or 12K mile warranty¹, 2020 models have a 24-month or 24K mile warranty¹, and 2017 and older models have a 24-month or 24K mile warranty¹،². Not all used VW vehicles come as a CPO; however, nearly all of our pre-owned vehicles can qualify for aftermarket VW pre-owned warranty coverage.
