What is Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned?
Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned (VW CPO) is the factory-backed program for select pre-owned Volkswagen vehicles. Each one must pass eligibility requirements and a 100+ point inspection and comes with a CPO Limited Warranty and added benefits. Which vehicles qualify for Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned?
A VW CPO vehicle must be within the current or previous six model years, have no more than 75,000 miles, and have a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Maintenance must be up to date and all recalls and campaigns completed. Vehicles with restricted coverage, such as tuning or modifications, are not eligible.
What does the Volkswagen CPO Limited Warranty cover?
The VW CPO Limited Warranty adds 2 years or 24,000 miles of coverage (whichever occurs first), beginning when the 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires, or on the CPO sale date if that warranty has already expired. Covered repairs carry a $50 deductible per dealer visit, and remaining coverage transfers at no charge in a private-party sale. What other benefits come with a Volkswagen CPO vehicle?
VW CPO vehicles include 2 years of unlimited-mile Roadside Assistance, 2 years of travel protection for trips more than 100 miles from home, alternate transportation for covered repairs subject to dealer availability, and a 3-month SiriusXM Platinum trial on equipped vehicles.
Are used Volkswagen electric vehicles eligible for certification?
Yes. The ID.4 and ID. Buzz are eligible for the VW CPO program. Certified electric vehicles include a Battery Health Status report, and the high-voltage battery is covered by a limited warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles (whichever occurs first) from the original in-service date.
How are pre-owned vehicles inspected?
VW CPO vehicles are inspected by a Volkswagen Certified Level Technician using a 100+ point checklist covering mechanical systems, safety components, interior and exterior condition and road performance, with any repairs made using Genuine Volkswagen Parts. For non-certified vehicles, ask your sales consultant for the inspection and reconditioning details on the specific vehicle you are considering.
Can I review the vehicle history?
Yes. Vehicle history reports are available on many pre-owned vehicles, and every VW CPO vehicle requires a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report. You can also browse our CARFAX 1-Owner vehicles.
Can I arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection?
Contact our sales team before your visit to discuss arranging an independent inspection. Location, timing and vehicle availability will be confirmed in advance.

Yes. Our Express Store covers new and pre-owned inventory, so you can personalize your payment, value your trade, apply for credit and upload documents online, then choose pickup or ask about delivery.
How is pre-owned pricing determined?
Pre-owned pricing reflects current market data, vehicle condition, mileage, history, equipment and any reconditioning performed. Your sales consultant can explain the factors behind the price of any vehicle you are considering.
Are financing options available on pre-owned vehicles?

Are extended service plans available on used vehicles?
