The most obvious difference between the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport is the size. While the Atlas is equipped to fit larger families with seating for 7, the Atlas Cross Sport seats up to 5 passengers. The Atlas also features more cargo space at 96.8 cubic feet while the Atlas Cross Sport has 77.8 cubic feet. The Atlas Cross Sport makes a great choice for those Corpus Christi families that don’t need as much vehicle space but still enjoy the convenience of an SUV. If you have a larger family that needs more space for family road trips, you may want to consider the original Volkswagen Atlas.
Power
Drivers looking to purchase the Atlas Cross Sport don’t need to worry about a difference in power between these two models. Both the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport have a standard 2.0L engine with 235 horsepower. In addition, both of these models offer an available 3.6L V6 with 276 hp. When properly equipped, both the Atlas and the Atlas Cross Sport can tow up to 5,000 pounds, making it perfect for weekend trips. With 4MOTION® with Active Control, drivers can switch between four different all-wheel-drive modes with a simple turn of a dial. These modes include Snow Mode, On-Road Mode, Off-Road Mode, and Off-Road Custom Mode.
